It Should, as long as you can plug it in. You did not mention if it is IDE or Sata. Both should work, if you can plug them in and if you have the correct cables.

You will have to format the new Hard Drive, a disk may have come with it or you can do it with windows. I suggest you partition it ino 2 or 3 smaller drives they are called "logical drives", that will allow you to format & defrag each separately and faster. You should make at least one logical drive :bootable".

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
