Observation is the first step in the scientific method. Theory and experiment follow. Then laws of nature are formulated.
Observation is the first step in all science, including medical science.
Observation is the basis of science. You must observe nature in order to classify plants, animals, and other objects. Yo perform experiments, you must set up specific conditions and observe the outcomes. To quote a great scientist, " Observe, Measure, Record".
It is a fact that " you beleev what you see", when you see something you definitly analyse it , how it looks, whats it for or why does it even exist , when you think all this don't you observe a thing. So for a practical approach you have to have a keen observing eye which forms the basis of science.
The most important quality for a scientist, according to my respected 7th grade science teacher, is to be observant. Observation is clear perception of what is received through one's senses. Through observation we gain the information to ask questions, through further observation we increase information toward answering those questions.
The invisible looks like the non-existent. Why do people still believe there is a god personally monitoring their brains and teleporting their dead bodies billions of light years to a heaven that is outside of the Universe? Beam me up Scottie!
Science IS observation first and experimentation, then observation again and putting it all together for understanding and learning. Without observation, there would be no science. One can look at something but not comprehend.
Observation requires thoughtful seeing.
Physicalist, observation is only critical to scientific fact. God and the "theories" there of are subject only to a belief system based on faith. There is no scientific fact to prove such theories.
Science can only prove facts based upon observation and experimentation. The realm of religion does not exist in science, only in one's imagination, and hearsay. Science and religion reside in two seperate venues, thus, observation is necessary in science.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
