Greetings Jehovah's Witnesses do believe that there were always True Christians from Christ's day to today. However we also recognize that we cannot identify an unbroken line of True Christians with absolute certainty. While the scriptures and historical facts make it clear that there would always be true Christians throughout history, yet they would be hard to identify because true Christianity would disappear among the "weeds" of apostate and imitation Christians and would have to be restored in the last day harvest (Ac.3:20-21; 20:29-30; Lk.19:11,12; Mt.25:21-30.
; 2Thes. 2:3-12; 1Tim.4:1; 2Pt.2:1-3). Only at "the conclusion of the system of things" the wheat would be separated from the weeds, or false Christians, and "would then shine as brightly as the sun" (Mt.13:24- 30, 36-43; 24:45-47; Dan.12:1,3,10).
Only during Christ's presence would true Christians be clearly differentiated from the false. Since true Christians would be as wheat oversewn by weeds we do not have a distinct historical picture of just how the 'faithful and discreet slave' class existed and served down through the centuries after the death of the apostles. We can be sure that one generation of the 'slave' class fed the next succeeding generation (2Tim.2:2).
Individuals from all ages and areas obviously had access to teachings that were Biblically correct and taught them to others who were eager for Biblical knowledge (Mt.24:45,46). While there were *always* True Christians disseminating true doctrine since they were "no part of the world" in politics and power they would not be expected to hold a prominent position in the pages of world history (Jn.15:19; 17:14; Jas.4:4). For the most part, these faithful believers in the supreme authority of the Bible had to take a stand against an apostate, oppressive hierarchy.
There are many that we can identify as holding to certain Biblical truths (to whatever degree their knowledge allowed). They can be found as voices speaking out for Biblical truth within many factions. While the Bible states that to gain salvation one must have *accurate* knowledge (1Tim.2:3, 4; Jn.17:3; Eph 1:17; Col.1:9,10) this does not mean that every individual at every time in history must have a *complete* and absolute knowledge of ALL Truth.
The Scriptures state that God "overlooks ignorance" (Ac.17:30; 14:16; Rm 3:25; 5:13; Eph 4:18). The Bible shows that God allows his servants to gradually understand (Pro. 4:18; Jn 16:12) just as the prophets and Apostles had to gradually learn and change their understandings (Dan.
12:8, 9; 1 Pet. 1:10-12; Acts 1:6, 7; 1 Cor. 13:9-12).
So the fact that Christians in the past did not have a "complete knowledge" due to ignorance does not exclude them from being God's channel of Truth. So, Witnesses do not consider it a sin to have believed improperly in the past, since almost every Witnesses used to belong to other religions or even were atheists at one time. What is a sin is to refuse to change once you learn what is correct.
Daniel's prophecy said that true knowledge would "increase" during the time of the end (Dan 12:4,10). In the last days Christ would appoint a "faithful slave" over ALL his followers and this slave would dispense proper spiritual food or knowledge (Mt.24:45,46). So while God overlooks unintentional ignorance, once the end time separating and increasing of knowledge began, any excuse of ignorance has diminished (Ac 17:30,31).
Wheat and weeds look similar when they are first starting off growing, but you can tell the difference when the wheat and weeds are full grown. The Wheat will be those that obey the Good news of the Christ and the Weeds are those that don't obey the Good News of the Christ, They will have a form of Godliness, it is counterfeit. So called Christian Religions today are a lot like the Pharisees and Scribes of Christ time.
HYPOCRITES! White washed Graves with dead men bones in them. The Weeds also make God look bad, So the LORD needs to get rid of the weeds, and he isn't going to use Round Up Weed killer either.
He he. Peace, Love and Soul!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
