Logo work, $20 per mockup all the way up to $1500 for a finished package is reasonable. Freelance graphic design work is based on portfolio and project. If you have a strong portfolio of clients and you have completed outstanding work on a project like the one you're being asked to do, you will receive top rate.
A good way to find a good fair price for things like this is to put a post up on Criagslist for the work that you need to be completed. You'll receive a ton of low, medium and a few outrageously high bids. Remove the lowest 10% and the highest 10% of Craigslist bids.
Next, send individual RFQ's to established designers. Average the established firm quotes with your Craigslist findings and you'll have a number that you can stand behind.
FreelanceSwitch has an online calculator to calculate your hourly rates for you (based on billable hour). freelanceswitch.com/rates/ They also have a great resource page for freelancers. www2.freelanceswitch.com/resources/ Good luck!
Great question! I checked out iFreelance. Com and found that the designers with high ratings were getting between $30 - $40 per hour.
If you want to start out low, start with the $30 per hour. Anything below that might say you are an "amateur" and scare legitimate customers away. If you want to give the customer a little extra, try offering something for free (consultation, first mock-up of a design, etc).
Check out ifreelance.com for more jobs and GOOD LUCK!
I am not a designer but I have been in sales and marketing for almost 30 years and I can surely say, "You charge whatever the market will bear. " But since Craigslist is full of designers looking for work; cheap is good. Having had worked with many designers in my time, I quickly learned that it's all about communication, perception, understanding.
When I say "chair" what do you see: Adirondac, LazyBoy, plastic patio chair, dining room table chair? Bottom line vandal913, your rate will depend on how much time you spen with the client and on the project. Are they nice, friendly clients or demanding and hard to get along with?
Good luck.
You are a new to freelance portal, So you should charge USD 4-5 at initial level. After earning positive feedback and reviews you can change your rate to USD 8-10.
My base price is $300. If it's something really simple, as low as $150. If it requires drawing, $500.
Hope this helps! :) flickr.com/artanddesignstudios.
The prices can really vary. If you are looking to establish a portfolio you can discount pricing or use a freelance site and bid similar to what others are bidding. If you are established and have more work than time you can demand more for your services.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
