I think Birmingham IS a great city. They are too busy, visiting us in Manchester, which is even better though! As usual, lots of knockers who have either never visited us, or did years ago!
I have also lived in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, but Manchester beats all hands down. Always something new happening and the locals have a real love and pride for the place. Proud to call it home!
Bet, if had landed in Brum, would say the same!
Yeah its just a grotty, dirty, miserable and polluted craphole. The streets are dominated by cheap greasy takeaways and no sophisticated restaurants. Its full of people and just more people.
Theres no worse place in the UK. Whenever I get out its just a relief. In a few years time I want to permanently move out.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
