To receive an accurate blood sugar reading, blood tests should be taken before a person has eaten for the day. Most doctors will request no eating to get an accurate reading. There are two readings that concern doctors when it comes to a normal bold sugar level.
The first one is the one they get 2-3 hours after one has eaten. The reading should be somewhere around 70 mg/dl. Of course this reading fluctuates depending on what one has eaten.
The one that really concerns doctors is the one taken after numerous readings and an average is read which should be around 4.6% to 5.4%. This is called Ac1. You can find more information here: phlaunt.com/diabetes/16422495.php.
