That's 'cause Europe'd not a country but a continent made up of many independent nations sharing a long history of squabbling among themselves. At the present time the so-called European Union remains no more than a loose confederation of states each clinging zealously to its own soveriegnty, cultural mores, and native tongue. While thier various governments may cooperate to some extent, the overwheming majority of the people subbornly retain their national identity and for the most part still reckon the cost of goods and sevices in terms of their traditional monetary units rather than the common currency, the Euro.
Call me a pessimist, but I plan to bequeath each of my grandkids a Euro coin in the belief that someday they will be as rare and valuable as Confederate banknotes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
