What are romantic comedies?

Romantic comedies are pretty much exactly what they sound like. These are basically just movies that are comedic in nature but also have some sort of love interest story thrown in to make the situations even more comedic and difficult. There are literally hundreds of thousands of romantic comedy movies out there with some of the most popular being movies like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail.

Tom Hanks, who anyone will attest to, is a great actor has done his fair share of romantic comedy movies. Generally these types of movies are considered safe fair when you are going on your first date with that special someone and you aren’t sure what their tastes are. RomComs are benign enough that as long as they aren’t terribly written, they will be digestible by almost anyone.

Romantic comedies are notoriously known for their chick-flick status. Women love to watch these movies because they get the best of two worlds. They get to laugh at the funny things that go on but they also get to see the kissing and hugging that goes with romance.

I have my own favorites and they both involve Cameron Diaz. The Sweetest Thing is a totally delightful chase movie that includes some slapstick comedy, some mis-steps that are hilarious, and there is nothing greater than watching a very pretty woman act stupidly and pull it off. Another movie featuring Ms.

Diaz is There's Something about Mary. My husband laughed himself almost out of his chair when he watched this movie. Romantic comedies have been around for decades.

Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day were professionals in the genre of romantic comedies. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Pajama Game are classic romantic comedies that have given generations of young women just the right amount of warm fuzzy feelings. These movies were re-created by Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor in Down With Love, another movie I'd truly recommend.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
