What are some fiction books focused in and around Airships?

What are some fiction books focused in and around Airships I just read the book "Airborn" by Kenneth Oppel and am buying the sequel "Skybreaker" but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other fiction books that take place in airships or have airships as a main theme. I am lookin for books that tell a STORY not a history book, or a book about how airships work or anything, a FICTITIOUS STORY. Movies, Games, and things other than books are also welcome.

Try looking for Steampunk works Airships are a staple of the Steampunk genera, so you might have some luck looking there for starters. The early 1900s saw the height of airship travel, so books set in that general time frame are also a good bet. I do have some specific ideas as well.

The PC game "Arcanum, of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" starts off on an airship. Admittedly, it doesn’t spend a lot of time there, but I think you’ll find games with airships (unfortunately) few, and far between. I would also recommend the movie "Sky Captain, and the World of Tomorrow", which is very pulpy, and includes a lot of 20s era flight, including airships as some major players.

Plus, it’s just a really fun movie. Finally, the book The Year the Cloud Fell, by Kurt R. A.

Giambastiani was a fun read, and has a lot of airship travel. For more fantasy based airship travel, try Crystal Rain, by Tobias S. Buckell, which has some great air-to-airship battles, and features a fun airship cover picture as well.

BONUS: If you like role playing games, try Spirit of the Century, a 1920's Pulp role playing game, which features airships prominently. One that I read a couple of years ago The Peshawar Lancers is an alternative history novel by S.M. Stirling. And if you saw the move "The Golden Compass", they travel in airships -- the books it was based on is the s Dark Materials trilogy by British novelist Philip Pullman. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
