The San Diego Zoo is world famous and well worth a visit. The animals are in exhibits that closely resemble their natural habitats. You can see the hippos swimming from underwater, for example, by going down a hill and walking into a basement area which has windows into the underwater portions of their exhibit. It is not cheap, though.
Visit their website for current prices before you go, or you might be shocked to death. The zoo also runs a separate facility nearby in Escondido, called the Wild Animal Park. There are animals inside exhibits here, too, but more impressively you can ride a train around a huge enclosure where the animals run free.
I remember seeing giraffes, ostriches and zebras from that train, up close and personal. There are more than 3500 animals in the huge enclosure, so you are guaranteed to see some.It is sort of like Jurassic Park, without the danger. You can go to the beach pretty much anywhere.
The San Diego Gas Lamp District downtown is fun at night with bars and restaurants. The zoo and the wild animal park are one of a kind, though, and should not be missed. Video: San Diego's Wild Animal Park.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
