Memorex and Sony are the worst. Memorex copies fine until you try capturing classical notes that are very high or very low pitched. The rest are about the same.

1 The cheapest ones. They are basically all the same these days. I order whatever is the cheapest that day on supermediastore.com and have never had a problem.

2 I've had some problems with - of all kinds - Sony. The best I've come across are Memorex. They seem to have just a little bit better quality.

3 Mostly it doesn't matter. Your PC will tell you if there is a defect in the CDR that prevented proper recording, and you will notice it if the CD skips when playing. If you PC says the disc is OK, it's almost certainly OK for your player. It's not like an analog tape which could have poor frequency range, etc. I second Oldhippie.

Sony CDRs have/had ridiculous failure rates (something dumb like 10 out of 50?). Just look at this crap:amazon.com/Sony-CD-R-Minute-Spindle-50-P... ridiculous that blank media should have a 2/5 rating. I have used hundreds of Memorex, as well as a few generic brands, and usually have no defects.1 or fewer out of a 50-pack will fail, and for all I know that could be the drives or just random.

Don't pay extra for official "music/audio" CDRs. It's a scam created by the RIAA and probably a marketing device as well.

" "I adore violin music and lost my old CDs. Since I need to replace them, I would appreciate some recommendations." "why amazon cant ship blank cds and dvds outside the U.S.?" "Can someone tell me how to burn Cds and what blank cds are best for it?

I adore violin music and lost my old CDs. Since I need to replace them, I would appreciate some recommendations.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
