When it comes to must have cookbooks for foodies, I would make two suggestions: My go-to cookbook for just about anything is Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything. This is an excellent reference cookbook for cooking just about everything (hence the title). Plus, Bittman is a great foodie himself, so I think his book is a must have for any serious cook.
For something a little different than your average cookbook but perfect for a foodie, try Molly Wizenberg’s A Homemade Life. Wizenberg intertwines stories about her life with recipes so this is almost as much a biography as a pure cookbook, but her writing style (which is similar to what she does on her Orangette blog) always makes me want to cook more. Wizenberg writes her blog and also writes for Bon Appetit and is passionate about food for sure.
This is a great fit for any foodie.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
