What are the best plants to plant in southern CA and when should I plant them?

I would think that the climate in southern CA is similar to here is south LA. Winter vegetables here are cabbage and broccoli, and probably should be planted soon. I am new to greenhouse gardening and I surely am not an authority.

Thanks for asking anyway. Good Luck.

Probably Gold Cush in the Fall ans Semsimilian in the spring,,, oops not that kind of gardening. You said So Cal and I just assumed... well. It largely depends on where you are in So Cal.

If you are in the coastal band below Ventura most things will grow year round because it really doesn't get too cold or too hot. If you are in the low desert then your veggies should be planted at the begining of Feb. In the high desert probably late March, although the temperature swings are so wild a greenhouse is almost a must.

I would have to ask both where exactly you are and which veggies you want to plant. With the exception of the high deserts you can grow something all year.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
