Rachel gave a pretty good synopsis -- though I could go much further given sufficient space and time. But, let me just fill in a few blanks and briefly correct a few misconceptions. She said... All three churches are also Trinitarian, meaning they believe the father, son and holy ghost are all one.
According to the Catholic catechism, they believe the Godhead is numerically "one in essence" but with "three manifestations." This is not the way the Bible portrays it and, therefore, Seventh-Day Adventists believe the Godhead is composed of three separate beings whom are all three God and are united as one in purpose, plan, goal, and will for Mankind. One obvious difference is that Baptists and Catholics worship on Sundays ... This is not entirely true.
There are Seventh-Day Baptists. Thus, they also worship on the Bible Sabbath -- which is Saturday. Baptists believe in “once saved, always saved” ... not sure what SDAs believe about that.
The Bible nowhere portrays a "once saved, always saved" condition, therefore, Seventh-Day Adventists believe you must continually make a conscious decision to follow Jesus lest you unwittingly stray from the path and become lost. Now, the "once saved, always saved" group will say that if you think you are on the "saved" path and end up being lost, then you were never really saved in the first place -- merely fooling yourself. If so, then I say none can ever be sure they are truly saved.
Instead, the Bible, including the Apostle Paul, talk about striving for your salvation. This means you have to consciously work on it -- every day. Of course, you can't save yourself.
Therefore, this means that the "work" you must perform is to sincerely and humbly surrender yourself (anew) to Jesus and the Holy Spirit every day in order to let them continue to perfect you for Heaven. I don’t know much about what SDAs believe about works ... Yes, Seventh-Day Adventists definitely believe you need to have faith in Christ in order to accept His gift of salvation by grace. However, the Bible, and Jesus, Himself, state many, many times that without works you are lost.
The works don't save you. But, the evidence of works demonstrates a true, active, and living faith which can actually accept the gift of grace which Christ offers. Any other faith -- without the evidence of works -- is dead and is unable to truly accept Christ's Gift.
After all, Man's concept of faith is closely equated with simple belief. But, even the devils believe and are afraid. Why are they afraid?
Because that kind of faith is dead and results in eternal destruction. True faith is more than just a noun. True faith is a verb which produces a resulting action -- i.e.
, good works. The same applies to love. The Bible says that if your love doesn't cause you to take action, then you don't truly love.
I read that SDAs only do it four times a year, and Baptists call it the Lord's Supper ...
WOW! SOME REALLY AWESOME gr8 answers by rachel, dave ,coffee, too although short ha! Healthy eating is important after all our body is the temple of God and it needs to be kept pure.
/ it means also learning to care for it as whats the word I am looking for? / oh Stewards those that care for others property ,, ok since we been purchased redeemed from sin by Jesus atoning blood we are his stewards to care for the body he has redeemed as best that we are able and make it a living sacrifice. 7TH DAY ADVENTISTS as I have read and have personally been in their churches because my brother is one teach health reform and that in these last days many will turn from the truth giving themselves over to demonic influence denying solid biblical truth and follow traditions instead!
IF the bible provides light for today should we not follow it and leave behind what we once believed was right? / our fore-fathers fell in the wilderness coming out of Egypt because of unbelief and God was trying to show them a new path which most rejected as too hard. Check out jude 5 in the amplified bible it kind of kool .
Then it reminds me of Noah"s time where the world was fully populated but had turned to pleasure and violence and only noah and his family were saved. WE learn from the bible wickedness spread fast and they did not want to spread out and instead gathered together to worship many strange gods in the time of babel trying to build a tower to heaven. God himself put a stop to these plans by confusing their language so they had to spread out .. over the earth.
Reminds me of the time of Lot( check out what jude 7 says too about this and compare resonably and thoughtfully as you keep comparing what other writers of the bible also say inthis manner you rightly dividing the word of truth ) when homo -sexuality and pleasure was so gr8 if not stopped it would of spread quickly God sent angels as in the appearance of men and the inhabitants of sodom wanted to rape them . , POOR LOT was righteus to a small degree and yet only grace and mercy saved his life . His two remaining daughters were already polluted with sinful thoughts and committed sin by getting daddy drunk in their minds so as they could have children .. THE BIBLE teaches evil influences corrupt our morals so watch your path of what you see and where you go also and whom your children asociate with do not be negligent and think it matters not.
. SDA are not perfect we all face temptations that are in particular just what we may be weak in .. many SDA ARE taught also that the cities are wicked and getting even more so it would be best to leave the big cities if at all possible and be in the country areas where evil is not flourishing as wildly, . Jude 24 teaches Christ is well able toppresent us faultless before the throne .. actually the amplified bible is not the best but it does help you to see things abit clearer when you been taught error for a long time/ NUFF SED.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
