Many things, I guess, as well as similarities. An example is that in Japan, I'm not quite sure but I see it in some movies (anime/manga/etc), that they do not let their child barefooted. They are much more into discipline and respect.In the Philippines, they somewhat give more freedom to the children, I think because they think that they are old enough to take care of their selves.
If what you mean by culture is tea ceremonies and stuff. I do not think that they have that in Filipino culture.
