Check this linkRyan and Van Hollen Debate Medicare Proposals 6/3/11foxnewsinsider.com/2011/06/03/ryan-and-v... very good debate by a Democrat and a Rrepublican.
Its not just good and bad parts; its the spirit behind the Ryan/Republican Budget. Ryan doesn't give a rip about trying to save Medicare, Medicade or Social Security; he's just trying to set the stage to completely dismantle the social programs that his political buddies and the rich don't like. If he or any of the folks on the right were serious about what they claim their doing for the "American People" then they would not be so dogmatic, about no taxes on the wealthy.
Why they think they have every body brain washed, is beyond me. Everyday they show more and more that they are really trying to exercise a bloodless-coup, the takes over the government as we know it, and puts in place something, that represents the old plantation, company store. All the homes that are now owned by families will belong to one corporation or another.
And those fortunate enough to have jobs will live in corporate housing. A large portion of their pay will go to the company to provide a place for their families to stay. You'll by food from the company store and when all is said and done on payday you'll owe them.As long as people vote through their hatred and greed we will continue to head over the cliff.
Ryan represents the Rich, and his on ego centric self image.
There is nothing good about the Ryan budget bill affecting Medicare. It tries to put elders in a profit based health care system. So even if it goes into a voucher system, the cost will be much higher than the lower tax based system we now have in place.
This is because operating overheads are much higher with corporate run system. In addition to this, tax payers will have to bear corporate profits too. Another reason is corporations will provide service only when you can pay their costs and profits.
If one cannot, they will cut the person off from life the saving medical help which should be a basic human right. Because of this "Corporate Death Panels", every year about 45,000 people die in the US because the cannot afford the corporate health care system is the US. Another insidious intention for the Republican for this Ryan's plan is that later down the road when taxes go up because of the more expensive voucher system, they can justify cutting all help to the seniors because it raises taxes. My observations suggest they will even do this while supporting tax breaks for wealthy corporations.
The spiritual state of any society can be determined by evaluating how that society treats their young, the old, and the sick.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
