The First link is a list of some museums o f black culture. I also suggest you travel to Charleston, South Carolina you will find some samples of black culture there and in the surrounding area you will find still thriving Gullah Communities. I have provided some links to information on Gullah.
Also Southern Cooking contains many dishes heavily influenced by the African Americans. Charleston, SC also has some restaurants that specialize in southern cooking and are run by members of the African American community.
I highly recommend the Martin Luther King Jr. Museum in Atlanta, GA as a place to learn about the fight for equal civil rights. Parts of the museum go over the culture that was present among black communities in the 1960s.
The American Museum of Natural story has always had a permanent exhibit dedicated to Native Americans and their culture. Part of it was even showcased in the Hollywood movie "Night at the Museum" with Ben Stiller The museum is on W 77th Street in New York City. I've provided a link to their website below.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
