My father, over ten years ago, was told to cut back on the amount of salt in his meal from his doctor, but this was in response to specific health conditions. It's true that too much of anything can be bad for you. But I also believe that some of the recent talk about banning salt is taking things too far.
After all, I don't think salt in your diet is nearly as bad as all the artificial stuff that goes into processed food, and other things of that nature.
