How often do you prepare home cooked meals?

Almost every day. Once every two weeks or so, we buy a meal somewhere. I enjoy cooking food, and it's so much less expensive.

Better tasting, too!

Almost every night. It's the healthiest and cheapest way to go.

I can't remember the last time I cooked an entire meal. It usually a combined effort between my husband and myself. I don't really like fast food but I wish really good restaurants would deliver--I'd work extra hours to have that service.

I cook every single day, although that's not to say every meal. It's so much more satisfying when you make your own pizza dough and pizzas, your own bread, your own soup, your own salads, your own everything. I go to fast food places sometimes, but it's not my lifestyle.

I like being healthy and knowing what's going into my body.

Most days I cook three meals, now and then evening meetings make that difficult, on weekends we sometimes go out or order in.

We are on our own for lunch........hubby takes his, and I eat at work.

I am a cook..........cooking is my profession.

Day 7 is an easy day (?) of leftovers..........so many dishes to wash, and a refrigerator to clean!

I honestly, do not recall the last "fast food" that I ate.......really, I don't.

But, I was 16 before I ate my first pizza~~.

Nearly every day. Since I retired, both my daughter and her husband work long days. I like to have a hot meal waiting when they come home.

If so then not enough. But for well rounded meals 16-21 times a week. The range because I don't consider the times we have cereal as cooking.

This is one of the easiest questions to answer. I have meals prepared at home daily or I don't eat. I hate eating out for several reason.

One I don't want to order, wait and the food is not as good as it was advertised. Two if the food happens to be good and I want more I must pay again. Therefore, I cook at home to eliminate these problems.

We eat out about 8 meals a month on average.

I organize or cook breakfast lunch and dinner for the other 74-or so, meals per month, allowing for the fact that big breakfasts or lunches out, usually account for two meals in a day. Leftovers, or "planned overs" become some lunches.

Our nearest town has one fast food establishment, which we might patronize a couple of times a year.

Cooking at home teaches family members how to save income. It is much cheaper to cook at home than to eat out, unless you can buy economical ready made meals that are good, and nutritious.

I am not a great cook, but I do know how to save money, and how to buy food to save money. It is very important to provide your family the best bang for the buck when it comes to having food on the table.

Kentucky Fried Chicken for example is delicious. We just love it, but I buy frozen chicken, thaw it out , and cook it myself. With thirty dollars I can prepare , and cook fifty pounds of chicken that will last my family a month with other meals.

I also have enough cooked chicken to feed our nine cats, to add to their own food.

Bread was $3 a loaf. I can make my own bread.

Why buy two cans of expensive chili when you can cook a pot of it for a family. Use a little of it, and freeze the rest of it.

We have been married forty years. Eating out is nice once in a while. Buying ready made food is nice if your working , and do not have much time to cook, but when you cook at home you save money.

Pretty much everyday. Both my wife and I love to cook so eating at home is a pleasure not a chore.

A cooked meal every day for dinner. For lunch a simple meal of bread and cheese, baked potato, home made soup, salad etc. I buy ready made food rarely appart from bread.

I make it a point that I cook for my wife everday. Nothing beats a home-cooked meal.

I cook a home cooked meal on Sundays so it can last a few days. For me, that's my favorite day for home cooked food.

I prepare a home cooked meal almost daily. In between we eat leftovers. I hardly ever buy food at fast food restaurants as it is mostly junk, not to mention a complete waste of money.

Pollo Tropical would be one exception that we buy from maybe once a month or every other month.

I do Once a day ,,Dinner .. If I can get by with it ,I'll order in : ).

I am no expert in the health industry, however my wife and I try cooking 2-3 meals a day for our family of five. We very seldom get ill with anything...even the common cold, which isn't so common anymore. Seems the bugs in the common cold are getting mean, if you will.

We try going to a variety of website to get ideas of what to cook, so we can get a variety of nutrition through all the different recipes.

There is a fairly new website called getselfsufficient.org which seems to be coming up with some healthy interesting ideas for meals and such...I wrote to them and they said they are coming up with a series for leftovers...amazing what you can do with leftovers...

There is another site called chow.com ...unbelievable amounts of ideas.

I could give you many others, but as you probably already know, one could get overwhelmed with info from the net. I would suggest following Get Self Sufficient and stay tuned to what they are coming up with. They are an interesting group of people working on this site from different parts of the globe...should add some "flavor" to the madness...no pun.

Not often anymore my husband took over the entire kitchen.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
