I read the following books over and over to my boys: "Where the Wild Things Are" (the classic about a naughty boy with a vivid imagination that you love unconditionally), "Owl Moon" (a wonderful father a child nature story), "Bill and Pete" (story of friendship) "King Bidgood’s in the Bath" (this one has fantastic and hilarious artwork), and anything by Lois Ehlert. What all these books have in common are: 1) great stories that my sons loved, 2) wonderful prose or poetry, and 3) beautiful artwork that spurred their (and my) imaginations.

The Witch in the Cherry Tree The Witch in the Cherry Tree was my favorite childhood book. I was obsessed with the witche' stripped tights and her cool shoes. I LOVED that she was in the gree and the mom and her son, David were in the house baking cookies.

That was something I did with my mom all the time so I could really relate to it. The witch is drawn to the cherry tree by the smell of the baking. There is a recipe in the book.

What a sweet memory. I love to bake and have a special spot in my heart for this book and it's sweetness. I remember that they were trying to catch the witch by leaving the back door open to lure her to it.

I have a special kinship with all things witches and baking so as you can see, I have remained connected to this book.

My children love books! Teacup, I have two children, and it so wonderful to read to them. My son is almost four years old and we read everyday. At night he has his favorites and of course, he gets to choose.

For a long time he wanted to read "Thomas and friends"; he has probably ten books in the series. "Monster Under the Shed" and "Down at the Docks" were the two most requested. He also likes "Clifford the Big Red Dog".

But lately, he has been asking for two books that must be read first: "The Magic Bed" is one and the other is "My sister hugged an Ape". He just cracks me up when he "reads" along because he has almost completely memorized "The Magic Bed" by viewing the pictures. My Dear Son does this with other books, but he has the most fun with that particular one. He also enjoys some of the children’s magazines such as "Lady Bug" and the "ghlights" magazine for 2-6 year olds called " My youngest, as many children her age (15 months) has always enjoyed the colorful pictures in books.

And since I have read to both of them from birth, she really enjoys being a part of story time; she likes to hear the words and it’s fun to use different voices! She really likes the books with textures. Usborne has many books made with different materials, cute ones such as, "That’s not my Princess" or "That’s not my Puppy".

She genty touches the puppy’s "fluffy" ears or the princesses "silky" dresses and smiles. I also like to fit time in where I read from a children’s Bible to both of them. Whatever we read, they are always engaged.

Also, I find a lot of wonderful books in the bargain section of bookstores. I think they will grow to have a life long love of books; just like their Mom! Have a wonderful time reading!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
