What are your favorite things to do at summer fairs and festivals?

Mmmmmm... TURKEY LEG! And I'll also have a funnel cake and some corn dogs - and wash it all down with a delicious beer. I tend to stay away from the rides as I've always thouhg they were a little....what's the word....not well kept?

I know that injuries and things like that don't happen very often, but still, they make me nervous. But I love the Art - there's always something new abnd different to see from soem fo the most creative people Texas has to offer! I've seen fun some REALLY sculpture, beautiful paintings and some thought provoking photography every year at Main Street Days in Fort Worth.

The entire street is shut down and filled with art booths with some of the mosty unique things I've ever seen. Still, the State Fair of Texas has to win top honors, but it's getting more and more crowded every year. Sadly, it's not the safetest place to go anymore too, thanks to thugs and gangsters.

Seems like someone gets shot every year. But enough Negative nancy, Steve! GAH!

The State Fair has THE best food! Crazy things like fried Oreo's and fried nachos, fried Snickers, fried Twinkies and friedice cream. Ibn fact, the fried foods have their own award now!(I tend to stay away from them tho as when you eat these fried items, you canactually feel your heart clogging up... Delicious, but quite deadly!) I love carnivals and fairs - makes me excited for Fall... Thanks for teh good question!

I love to browse at all the arts and crafts and sample the foods!

My favorite thing is toeat, sightseeing and go horse back riding if they are horses there.

My favorite thing is always the food. I get motion sickness so don't go on many rides at all. Growing up I would go with my parents and brother every year to Hersheypark, home of Hershey chocolate.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
