What argument might a temperance society member make against the sale and consumption of alcohol?

The peasants, possibly. I would say this is a big NO. Depends on what part of the world, what country.

Most average middle class people, aka peasants, couldn't even afford meat regularly, most people ate cereals and vegetables every day. There were no trans fats then, no refined sugar unless you were wealthy. They may not have been as well fed, but at the same time, YES they ate healthier.

Everything was organic then.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
