Healthy foods are fresh foods we combine into various recipes. Our ancestors all prepared and ate what was in season. I beleive that what is in season is what we are supposed to be eating at that time of year.
I try and pick the most colorful of vegetables. Reds, yellows,oranges and the greenest of greens. Having a huge pot of water boiling for blanching them just till tender is the easiest way to prepare them...a resturant trick.
You can blanch them half way, throw them into cold water and re heat later. Proteins, such as eggs,cheese and meat can be found in thethe farmer's markets also. They are there for us all with so many choices.
The vendors all have favorite ways to prepare what they sell. Use what is fresh and in season in your recipes, or find recipes which incorporate what you find at these great markets. I try and buy foods raised in my area, because I know their standards are higher than those in other countries.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
