What defines whether a pyramid style business structure is legal or illegal?

If it is pyramid style it is by definition, illegal. Because there are people leaching off the bottom parts of the pyramid (the suckers, dare I say).

If it goes on and on as a business model. If the system goes away then it was illegal.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
