What depression medication won't make me feel suicidal?

Just about every form a antidepressant medication has a possible side effect listed of “may cause suicidal thoughts”. The key here is “may” cause suicidal thoughts. This side effect usually takes place in young people but can in older folks too.

You do not mention whether you have tried other methods of dealing with your depression such as a therapist or counselor. Sometimes that alone will help you deal with your depression without all the side effects. If you are really having problems you should definitely be seeing a psychiatrist who specializes in mental disorders as opposed to your family physician.

A psychiatrist will know much more about the different types of depression and what therapy might work best for you. From experience I know it can take awhile to find the right medication at the right dose to have you feeling better and without horrible side effects. I have taken weeks or months off work just trying to find something that works.

I wish you much success in your quest to find the right therapy. Depression is no fun at all! A nice site for lots of information: helpguide.org/mental/medications_depress....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
