What did you get your spouse for a wedding gift? What did your spouse give you?

I am at a loss. We don't have a lot of cash, so we promised not to spend too much money on a gift. He doesn't want a watch, which is a pretty standard gift from what I understand.

Neither of us need much. We are pretty simple people, so I really don't know what to get him. The wedding is a month away, and this is one of the final details I have to figure out.

The only requirement is that the bride have a wider wedding band than a ring which might accompany an engagement ring set. I would get over this hurdle by having a "Saturday wedding ring," or a ring which the wife would wear while running Saturday errands, participating in sports activities with future children, digging in the yard. It can be white or yellow gold or even platinum, but just wide enough that the engraving can be done.

He had always wanted an SLR camera and lessons - he enjoys the camera, still and appreciated the photography lessons. He gave me two photo albums, full of pictures from both of our childhoods, leading to adulthood - showing how we got to where we are in life. At the end of the book about him, he wrote a letter to me and left a letter taped to the back, for me to read at the 10 year mark, with the promise to replace it with another one to read at 20yr mark.(and so on!) I cried when I got his gift!

Understand we had both been married before and neither of us wanted or needed the traditional stuff! That's been a wonderful keepsake that I will pass down to my children, I'm just not sure how one splits a wonderful gift, like that! Glad I won't be around to argue over it!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
