Anne Hathaway was great and funny playing the role of Nixon in the opening musical skit with host Hugh Jackman. One of the Memorable Moments of Academy Awards 2009!
I think she did really well, and looked stunning like always.
It was very silly, but worked for the skit. It was Nixon: a Love Story. IMHO, Anne was prepped beforehand.
She had a teeny bit of actual singing and rhyming to do at the end. I loved it, because it was supposed to be "Frost/Nixon re-imagined as a love story" so it was supposed to be silly and melodramatic. I like that Anne is up to that sort of thing.
She seems like the type of girl you could have a beer with at a bar, and be fairly comfortable, you know?
I don't think her impression was that great. But... with what little time she had to prepare for it, I suppose she did better than I would have done.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
