What do I need to be a sociology professor at a community college/4-year college or university?

I have a bachelor of social science degree already. What more would I need? Also, How can I finance this(as I already have loans to pay back from my bachelor years and I am short on cash now), and what are the typical types of classes would I need to take for this?

A doctorate to even be considered, field experience, 2-3 publications (at least), and esteem in the eyes of others.

You need a MSW and a Phd. That is four more years of school min if you go full time. Get the a MSW in clinical social work and get a job.

Then Go to school for the Phd part time. It may take longer but you will not starve pay as you go is better then a 100,000 in debt foor a Phd. Most good state Universities offer the degree you want.

Go to your home state school and get the residential discount for being a stat resident.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
