The reality is that the GOP is writing off Ron Paul because they don't consider him a viable candidate. Quit blaming everything on media. In case you aren't aware, the GOP is heavily invested in keeping things pretty much as they are.
They reallty don't want someone riding in, cutting spending, turning down earmarks. They don't want real reform, they want someone who is mainstream enough to get elected, but not upset the way things are.
I get what you are saying. I have respect for Ron and his libertarian view. The problem is that he can't win.
Sure, he has demonstrated that he can get the staunch libertarian-conservative vote. But he will never get enough moderate votes, blue dog democrat votes and senior citizen votes to win a general election. He believes in completely eliminating public education, social security, medicare and all entitlements.
He a zero safety net guy. Most Americans are not on board with that view and do not want a Jeffersonian Federal Government. In addition, while Ron has a respectful and reasoned manner about him, which appeals to many, he does not come off as a strong leader.
Most people look for leadership qualities and a presidential persona. Ron doesn't have it. Sorry, Ron cannot win.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
