My parents were highschool sweethearts and just celebrated 27 years married. I think it works for some but certainly not for all. It takes a very mature couple to decide to get married and most highschoolers are not ready for that.
It really depends on the maturity level of the couple as to if and when they marry. If they have fallen in love in high school (and it is possible for this to happen) and their love blossoms and grows, then why not get married at some point? If you find your soulmate or the love of your life in high school, then why not get married?
I don't think girls or guys need to date everyone under the sun so they know who is right for them. You basically know, deep down, who is good for you and who is not. For me, the years between 18-21 were monumental years of change for me.
But, that doesn't happen to everyone. From 21-30 were years of change and exploration for me. I married in my 30's.
But that doesn't mean two high school sweethearts should wait until their 30's to marry. Each individual couple is different and has to marry when the time is right for them. If you truly love one another, and are committed to one another, you will weather the storms and whatever comes along, no matter your age.
I think the mind will wonder to far about what other people are like and people need that after highschool partying phase.
My husband and I met in high school and we've been together ever since. I was two years behind him and wanted to go to college before we got married so we were together almost 8 years before we finally got married. We'll be married 8 years come this November.
To answer your question: I don't think it matters when you meet your spouse, what matters is the amount of work the two people are willing to put into the marriage/relationship. And obviously the two people have to be right for each other and sometimes it takes a specific situation to find out that two people aren't right for each other.
Some things I've learned from being with someone for over 15 years is you have to work at your relationship every day, you can't take one another for granted, and you must always communicate with that person.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
