Because Corporal Punishment is explicitly allowed under Texas State Law, and the only qualification is that the beating must be "reasonable" in the mind of the attacker. And you'd have a hard time convincing 12 people that the judge was knowingly being unreasonable.Ugh..

He definetely should be removed from the bench. For the Mother to stand by and also participate is unforgivable to me also. If it were my parents they would no longer be in my life.

I cannot get the images out of my head. I am not a violent person, but I would love to take some cracks at those parents. I am so glad they have been exposed.

I saw it today - As I understand it - It occurred about 10 years ago, and the girl's sister posted it so her dad could "get help". Looking at it - you can plainly see it ain't just someone "tapping" her - He's actually beating the hell out of her with the belt - hitting her - it appears to me - about as hard as he can. This is a SICK dude!

I watched part of the video and couldn't watch any more. They should get serious jail or prison time for what they did but they should be given a chance for a plea bargain. The state will cut their jail time in half if they spend 30 minutes in a closed, private room with me and a belt.

They would be better off taking the full prison term. Nobody, nobody, nobody should be allowed to treat a child like that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
