What do you think has led to the rise of independent baseball leagues over the past 15 years?

Interesting question. I have a friend who plays in an Independent League and he also played in the MLB years ago. He knows that his MLB career is over (age) but he still loves the game and the independent league provides him with the opportunity to play at a reasonably high level and earn some money while playing locally so he can be with his family.

He's not likely to get that chance in the minor league system because MLB teams are looking to develop young talent. I think we will see a growing pool of ex MLB players in independent leagues. These players draw interest to their teams and are able to share their big league experience with the younger guys who still want to get to the show. It's a win-win all around.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
