The MIRACLES reported performed by Christ, or by s Apostles in the Holy Bible were performed by God, through the prayerful requests of either Jesus or in the case of s Apostles through Jesus intercession with God. There are many many miracles happening by God throughout the world even today, but we are not always made aware of them.
I agree with Dave and for the same reason. The world in Jesus' day was tiny in comparison to our world today. Thus, I am not convinced that we are not experiencing the same miracles as first century believers, only more so.
I always wondered that about God not as present today as then. Because it seems like if her were there would be more believers. I don't know, except that God wants us to live by faith, and I do believe there are still miracles happening just now it is on a more personal level and not so noticeable to us.
Thanks Diane! Miracles are not as noticeable as then, because of a few things I believe:1) Our reliance upon them.2) Our faith in them3) We have not been taught correctly concerning our authority and 'power of attorney' given to us through the atonement of ChristAll three of these play a major role in, what I believe to be, infallible proof. We need to train disciples to carry out the tasks set before us.
Christ told US to go in or in s stead (as Power of Attorney) or on I believe that this is what either makes us or breaks us as miracle-workers...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
