What do you think of Texas Rep. Joe Barton apologizing to the head of BP?

Rush Limbaugh and Joe Barton are out of line. I wonder if they will also apologize to Big Oil when President Obama insists they they inspect the 27,000 abandoned oil wells in the Gulf Coast, some of which were abandoned in the 1940's. 1,000 of these wells were abandoned by bp.

President Obama has his work cut out for him! No apologies necessary. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/arti...

I don't believe he would, but I try not to do his judging for him. Republicans are in love with Corporations and any attempt to corral a Corporation in any way or regulate a Corporation or a Bank, they complain about and start talking about a free market. It doesn't seem to matter that we have become a country ruled by huge Corporations, caught in the net of the market whims.

In the case of BP, this billionaire Corporation, with its several deep water wells, lied from the get go. They just haven't been honest with the public or honest with the President. They've worried about lawsuits when they should have been worried about the devastation.

They've steered around the truth in many ways, and do not deserve apologies. The cost of coastal jobs is just one part of the tragedy, our fish and animal life is highly endangered. Our marshes and bayous and coated with oil.

Not too long ago, the brown pelican was an endangered species. It made a comeback and now....disaster! The suffering of helpless animals is unbearable and, despite all efforts, few can be rescued.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
