I think the Nook has more potential than the present Kindle. But personally, I read my ebooks on my iPod Touch. I'm also looking forward to see what an Apple Tablet might offer.
With an iPod I can read ebooks (even Kindle ebooks), but also do thousands of other things with the same device. But this is exactly why I would personally rate the Nook as better than the Kindle, because it is color and it is powered by Android and therefore has far more potential.
I don't think NOOK device CAN OUT DO THE AMAZON KINDLE. Amazon has been involved with books and so much more for such a long time now... How could it when barnes and noble is strictly a book store..? I would go with something made by amazon. Mike!
I'll give you a real quick answer to this. If I wanted to buy one eBook reader, I will definitely go for the Android Powered B&N's Nook. I think it is a reasonable price, it is very portable, good features, etc.The reason why I am not buying it is simply because I am not into ebook readers as it is unfortunately not my cup of tea.
I have both the Nook and the Kindle so understand some of the differences. Kindle owners: how long does it take for books to download? The Nook claims it takes "seconds" (which I'm assuming is under 30 seconds) and the Kindles ad says "under 60 seconds" which just seems a bit long...They both download about the same speed.
As others have mentioned the 2 things to change this is the size of the download and the strength of the signal. Kindle has come out with the WiFi version, which does seem to be faster than the 3G service. Does anyone know if Amazon's Kindle Edition books are cheaper than the Nook's ebooks?
Because of the Agency 5 Model many are priced the same no matter where you go to purchase them. Check out the differences on the books you wish to read. If they aren't the same, generally Amazon is the cheaper of the two.
Both put out free books, at times they are the same, sometimes different titles. Just do the search on both sites of what you like to read. Also, with the Nook I hear you can go in the B&N store and read books for free (as long as you stay in the store)Yes, with the Nook you can go to their store and read books for free for an hour per book.
All the titles are not available for this but many are, well at least the ones I like to read. I was there today with my mom and she likes to read the Amish books and most of them were available to read in store.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
