What does it mean when a cat sleeps literally all day and does not eat, drink or use the bathroom?

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Get it to the vet soon, it can be a killer. I don't know what you feed your cat, but many cat foods have lots of ash in them.

The ash builds up, and the cats can't pass it. So they don't pee and the don't eat.

So sorry I didn't get back to you....It was a UTI. The doc gave me some meds and some vitamins to give him and told me that I should change his food. He's been doing really good.

Sounds like what older cats do. We had a cat for nineteen years. The older she got the more she slept during the day and not much interest in food.

Yes, actually I didn't see him when I got home from work so I looked for him and he was in my closet in the corner. He always goes in the closet, but he usually will come out as soon as I get home. Jagporter 3 months ago .

There are usually 24 hour emergency vets around if you think he needs it. They cost more, of courseYou might try to go him to drink some water. Or, put some wet cat food in his mouth.

Sometimes if they get a taste of the food they will eat more.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
