What does it mean when someone puts this at the end of a hub comment. : -D?

What Ellen said, plus the dash to me represents the nose and the capital D indicates a 'mouth open laugh' rather than just a 'smile' as in :-D or a ;-) would indicate a 'wink' I'm sure there are more versions and interpretations around ;-).

It is a smiley face like:):D:PLook at it sideways. Smiley faces are used at the end of a message to show an emotion, usually because it is often hard to interpret what the author's tone is. For instance, to show that I was joking, I might add a :P (smiley w/ tongue out) to show that I didn't mean the comment seriously.

Hope this helps!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
