It's an evolution thing. For a long time, until very recently, calories weren't that easy to come by for humans. So sugars and fats taste great to us because they pack a lot of calories into a small amount of eating.
Those who had a preference for such foods got more calories and thus survived. Now, of course, it is a problem because we don't work or move around like we used to, and there are super caloric foods available. (If you had to chase a quart of ice cream for two days over rough terraine, you wouldn't have to worry about gaining weight from it.) So we work very little and eat five times the calories we need each day.
But, that fudge swirl just looks soooo goood!
I think it's something people are used to, I am vegan. Not trying to convince you in any way or say you're bad etc I'm not extreme. I love the taste of cheese, and cookies (unhealthy too) and other things, but once I changed my diet and ate healthy I don't crave the unhealthy but healthy insted.
If you eat unhealthy you'll crave more of it. Bacon and cheese don't have much carbs, and bread can be healthy, just don't choose white wheat bread, maybe rye? :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
