You can purchase a kit to replace the rear view mirror at any auto parts store or Walmart. Follow the directions to the letter.
I have used everything I can think of to glue the mirrors back on the windshield of older vehicles that I have owned. I used epoxy and the little kits that are designed for rear view mirrors. Now my TJ needs to have the mirror glued back on to the windshield.

Only this time, take a piece of masking tape and use it to hold the button in place instead of your fingers. What happens with your fingers is you push too hard and starve the bond, or you move right about the time it starts to set up.
