For me I have very naturally curly hair and used to live in a humid area. I had to stay away from mousses and gels because they return to the 'wet stage' when in a humid area. I have had better success with a hair dressing cream or even a light amount of cholesterol, which can be found at a Sally's Beauty supply'.

Otherwise serums and light oils should work because they are unaffected by the humidity but can also give you control to unruly curly hair.

My daughter uses Matrix products to keep her hair from frizzing. They have a special line for curly hair. It works well but is a little pricey..
