Some do, principally military versions and very high-end civilian models. The majority don't because helicopter autopilots and auto-hover/hover assist systems have to be far more complex and make far more adjustments much more quickly and with greater precision than with fixed wing autopilots. That means those systems can cost more than the helicopter and they also cost a lot to maintain certification for.
But even where fitted they need constant monitoring by the pilot, so there's no "go sit in the back" option. They do reduce workload and pilot fatigue though, particularly on search and rescue helicopters.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
