What hours of the day do you consider 'quite hours' where you live? (for people that live in the city)?

(for people that live in the city) My city has no rules about exactly when 'quite hours' are. When do you think the earliest in the am it is ok to work outside (i.e. Mow, and go general yard work and such outside that is kind of noisey)?

My opinion on quiet hours. Personally, I am with you and I think that outside work should not begin before 8:00am and 9:00PM should be the latest. The city I live in currently does not have any ordinances about noise and time but I have lived in cities where it was 7am to 9PM.

I think those are good guide lines. For me, I am a late sleeper and I hate being awakened by my neighbors mowing their grass or working on their home improvement projects. However, as long as it is not before 7am...I just turn on my fan, shut the windows and go back to sleep....LOL....

Quite hours For me, quite hours are early in the morning between 6-8AM. But I really would not like to hear lawn mowers, weed eaters or leaf blowers before 9AM. Any mowing after dark I would not approve of, but I suppose I could tolerate it until 8PM.

I live on the North Shore of Oahu and it is considered the country but is growing quite rapidly. We do not have any businesses here a gas station, bakery, grocery store and a 400 room Resort Hotel. Pretty quite...

Back in the winter one day at about 12:30 AM (midnight) someone was snowblowing with a big loud snow blower for about a half hour or more.. That seemed a little rude to me, even though I was awake anyway, at times I would have been sleeping and that might have woke me up..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
