Usually a specific subject matter inspires me to write a hub. I find that if I feel strong enough and have enough knowledge on the subject matter, and/or experienced it first hand, then I'll take to writing about it. Some people are inspired by other people's actions or words, and sometimes I find myself in that position, depending on the other factors, as I've already mentioned.
I seem to write more freely away from home. I sit in a quiet spot and people watch or watch trees swaying in the breeze. I take stories from my own life or a subject that may interest others and just start writing.
I have a notebook with a bunch of hub topics written down. If I get an idea for a new one I write it down and when I feel inspired to write on a certain subject that is when I start working.
Ive always kept a notebook handy long before I discovered hubpages, just incase I thought of something I wanted to dissect further or had an idea for a poem, ive since taken a few of those ideas and made them into hubs when I have time, and now I too have taken to writting down potential hub topics if I happen upon one.
Sometimes its just an idea, much like a lightbulb, those are the best peices I think because they are so raw :).
To be popular and hub score inspires me to write a hub.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
