Seventh-Day Adventist church is a cult. Check out www.exadventist.com for some great insight on SDAs and their beliefs. They basically worship their so-called prophetess, Ellen G.
White, and place her writings above the Bible. SDAs also like to pick and choose Bible texts and read them outside of context. Exadventist website does a good job in de-bunking SDA beliefs.
SDAs will tell you they follow the Bible to a "t", but, in reality, they create their own countless legalistic rules, based on Ellen White's off-the-wall writings and keep a close eye on everyone, who does not follow them. They will not tell you who they are at their evangelistic meetings and try to wiggle away by saying they are a church of Gideon, etc. They don't want you to know who they are until they've got you in their clutches (or as SDAs would say, until you see the truth, which involves keeping Saturday as Sabbath). In fact, by the end of the meetings, they'll say, an SDA church was gracious enough to offer ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
