What is a better method to promote your blog: submit articles to article directories with links to your site or bookmark your site on social?

Bookmark it to a social network site I am not sure that I would promote my blog it would be promoted if I press done and it will be promoted.

You can do search engine optimization of your blog. It will help you to boost up the traffic of your site.

Both methods can work depending on how you do it. Why not slightly re-write your post and submit to article directories and bookmark both your article and blog post. Just make sure not to bookmark only your own content.

Depending on the niche you are in, you should pick different bookmarking sites, but there is one generic one that is really hot right now and that is StumbleUpon.

It probably depends on the nature of your blog entries. If you were writing about gardening or cooking or something that isn't time-sensitive, the article directories are probably better.

The social bookmarking sites are more oriented to the latest news and views. I have a weekly blog on investing (TSX.ProfiTrend.com) embedded within a larger website. Most of the time I'm writing about my views on the stock markets for the previous week and the outlook for the future, so I use social bookmarking sites.

Using Twitter to send out a link to your latest post is also a good idea in these time-sensitive cases.

I agree with cwhaley about what social bookmarking sites are oriented for. If you managed to update your blog on a regular basis, it's better to always bookmark the latest posts on the bookmarking sites.

Both methods are OK. What is the purpose of your blog? Is it just for information only or to make money from it by having some affiliate links in it?

Your blog purpose will determine how best you can promote it by using some other methods.

Both methods are effective if done very well but the most important thing is that update your blog timely by adding fresh and relevant content.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
