What is the best way to promote your blog or hubs when using a social media site?

Yes and no. There are plenty of 'etiquette' rules or best practices you should follow when using these site. For example, twitter users who make frequent tweets or only post their own stuff are frowned upon.

I usually make no more than 2-3 tweets in a single day and only spend about 1/3 to 1/4 of the time promoting my own stuff. Its good to build followers that are interested in you have to say so that when you do post a link to your hub they will go there. There are tweet schedulers available that can help you tweet consistently, but use them wisely or you may get banned for spamming.

I don't really use Facebook, but I know AdSense doesn't like links posted in private areas. I'm sure the same guidelines apply here.

The biggest thing with social networking sites is to become a part of the community and not to spam the site. If you want people to read your stuff, you have to take time to read their stuff as well.

The best advice I can give to anyone on posting about hubs or blogs on facebook or twitter is to make sure it's relevant to the audience, and to create value for them. Give them something they want. On Twitter like CWanamaker says, provide useful or interesting information as well as your own content.

For Facebook, same thing, but typically a group is a better way to go rather than spam all your friends with new content. I typically block most people who post links everyday, and definitely hide their posts if they're posting useless stuff to me. I'd much rather get one group invite saying, are you interested in this topic, join this group if you are... and then I would typically read that group's page more than my news feed.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
