I'm not sure if this question is still relevant for you anymore, but I thought I would give it a shot.(plus I was in the mood for writing! ) The average cost of living in Japan varies about as much as it does in the US, depending on if he/she needs to live and/or work in a major city, or can stay in the countryside. Tokyo, for instance, is considered one of the most expensive cities in the world (in the top 5 usually on most of the many varied rankings), and yet I know there are people making in the US 20k to 30k per year range (or possibly a bit less) and doing OK.
Though many live in the countryside and commute to work each day. Housing costs in Tokyo and other major cities can be very expensive, but the extensive rail systems make it feasible to live a couple hours outside of the city and survive the daily commute in a somewhat reasonable cost range (an hour commute may cost around $10 per direction or so for regular tickets, but "commuter passes" are available that reduce the costs substantially). The other point is that commuting by rail doesn't require all of the extra costs that a car entails (gas, maintenance, parking, etc.).
I should mention that if you do require a car in a place like Tokyo, it will can cost you about as much to rent a parking space as it does an apartment. But I lived in Tokyo for several years without needing a vehicle, as you really can get just about anywhere by rail. If living in the countryside is an option (and by countryside in Japan usually means less than 60,000 or so people in your neighborhood...), then the cost of living can be substantially less, though it might be necessary to have a vehicle depending on how far into the countryside you go.
Hope that helps! If there is any other information I can help with, just leave a comment and I will try my best to answer.
51000 JPY or 609 USD. This is only an estimation that was based on values given by someone on the internet.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
