What is a 'top spin' shot called in tennis?

Top spin is when you brush up the ball from bottom to top as you hit it, producing the end over end spin called top spin. Top spin causes the ball to come down into the court quicker, but once a ball with a lot of top spin hits the ground, the spin causes it to bounce up higher. Mixing up the pace is when you hit shots at different speeds to throw off your opponent.

Instead of just hitting at once pace, you hit at difference speeds to keep your opponent off balance.
