As traditional sources of energy grow closer to depletion, the search for alternative renewable energy becomes more important. One of these renewable energy sources that has created a great amount of interest is wind energy. Wind energy harnesses the natural energy of the wind and converts it into a usable form of energy that can be used to power homes and businesses.

Most of this wind is harnessed in windmill farms. A windmill farm is a group of machinery called wind turbines that take the wind and harness its kinetic energy into usable electricity. A windmill farm may contain as little as 10 and as many as 100 wind turbines in an area.
