What is cheese wax? Can I just use paraffin wax for candle making instead?

Making candle with cheese wax is Eco-friendly as it is non-toxic. But generally candles are made out of paraffin wax only. ---------quote-------- Cheese Wax is a food-grade paraffin wax which is used as a coating for numerous kinds of hard cheeses. It is a mixture of paraffin and micro crystalline wax It helps to retain moisture in the cheese as it ages as well as preventing any unwanted mold growth from occurring.

Whereas Paraffin wax is pure and is the one which is globally used in candle making . So without any doubt can be used for candle making instead.

Cheese wax is a mixture of paraffin wax and crayons melted down in a pot and mixed it is then painted on cheese with a brush to control mold growth as the cheese ages. The crayons are the reason you see different color casings on cheeses. Candles are made from paraffin wax by dipping a string repeatedly into a pot of melted wax and hanging it up on a string to dry when the chosen diameter of the candle is reached.
